Rohr-Idreco

The specialist for dredgers

ROHR-IDRECO Dredge Systems designs and manufactures premium quality deep digging electric dredging vessels and equipment for the mining and dredging industries, and dam desiltation. Innovative and sustainable dredgers combine over 60 years of experience with the most advanced control and automation systems. All vessels are built to last according to the highest specifications, with a lifetime supply of parts and services being an integral part of the service.

Jet Suction Dredgers

A jet suction-type dredger is often the ideal solution for dredging relatively loose and free-flowing material. The ROHR-IDRECO jet suction dredgers are electric driven (diesel/diesel-electric drives are optional), and our advanced automation and monitoring software, developed in-house, ensures the highest efficiency and the lowest possible energy consumption. Further benefits include reduced wear and tear on pumping equipment, a low carbon footprint and minimal noise pollution.

Floating Clamshell Dredgers

ROHR-IDRECO floating clamshell dredgers are designed to extract sand and gravel from 10 to 60 or even 90 metres below water level. All dredgers are custom-built to the requirements of each deposit and the needs of every customer. Customers can choose among various components for on-board processing, such as double or single-deck screening machines, crushers, fine sand recovery, conveyor belts or hydraulic transportation to site. Two types of hydraulic motor grabs manufactured in-house complete the package and make the dredger an efficient tool for every purpose.

Bucket Ladder Dredgers

This type of dredger is also designed for the extraction of sand and gravel from wet mining pits and comes in both a land-based and floating type. The dredging depth of bucket ladder dredgers varies from 0 to 12 (or 14) metres for the land-based models and from 6 to 24 metres for the floating models. Similar to floating clamshell dredgers, floating bucket ladder dredgers are equipped with an on board processing plant comprising a double or single deck screening machine, crusher, fine sand recovery, conveyor belt or hydraulic transportation to shore.

Pumps & Boosters

If the software is the brain of a dredger, the pump is its beating heart. ROHR-IDRECO has had its own complete iPump® line for many years, developed for high-performance operation and efficiency. The iPumps are wear-resistant for an increased life span, have optimal suction characteristics, are energy efficient, and can be adapted to a wide range of tasks. The pumps can also be built individually into land-based or floating booster sets.
